Opening Keynote: Creating a Healthy Workforce by Eliminating Bullying and Incivility

Nurse Leaders are charged with encouraging teamwork and creating a culture of safety. Bullying behaviors lead to staff dissatisfaction, high staff turnover rates and may be harmful to patient outcomes. Nurse leaders lack the knowledge to recognize bullying behaviors and effective strategies that can be used to address and eliminate bullying behaviors in the workplace. This session will equip Leaders with essential skills needed to set behavioral expectations and hold employees accountable for behavior.

Keynote: Human Trafficking: Raising Awareness to Identify Victims in the Clinical Setting
Thursday, April 15 | 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
RNs will be educated and equipped to identify potential signs of human trafficking in victims who present for care in a medical setting with appropriate intervention actions. The increase in audience knowledge will be measured with the post-activity survey, administered both immediately following the educational presentation and 3-6 months post-activity. Intent to change practice will be measured by the post-activity survey.
