Endorsement Information

The Society of Pediatric Nurses exists to promote excellence in nursing care of children and their families through support of its members’ clinical practice, education, research, and advocacy. Therefore, opportunities for members to request support from SPN in the form of project/product/program endorsement, letters of recommendation, or financial support are available.

Members who would like to request project/product/program endorsement, letters of recommendation, or financial support must review the Society’s policies regarding such support and submit a request with any required supporting information.  Requests will be reviewed and decided upon by the SPN Board of Directors.

SPN's Policies on Endorsement of Products and Programs

To make a request of the SPN Board for project/product/program endorsement, letters of recommendation, or financial support, send a letter addressed to the current president and to the Board stating the request explicitly.  If financial support is requested, please provide the following additional information.

A statement describing the relevance of the request to pediatric nursing.

A statement attesting that an approved request would benefit pediatric nursing as a nursing specialty.

Recommendations for actions you would be willing to complete (e.g., agreeing to submit an article the SPN journal, present a proposal at convention, share results with members) in order to provide a benefit to SPN members (that is, a return on investment).
