Description: Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a forensic nurse providing care to patients who have been sexually assaulted?  Join two SANE nurses as they share their roles, expectations, and the limitations of a pediatric sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE). You will get an understanding of how to screen for human trafficking.  They will also define vicarious trauma, take a look into how it affects caregivers and discuss ways you can protect yourself from the consequences of working with traumatized victims.  

Outcome: 75% of participants will validate current practice or implement a new strategy into their practice based upon knowledge gained.
