Children living in unstable housing are more likely to suffer from poor physical, mental, and sexual health outcomes, as well as commit suicide. In the past 5 years, the number of adolescents and young adults (AYA) who identify as gender diverse has doubled however most nurses receive minimal if any education on caring for LGBTQIA+.
