Highlights of the SPN's Mentorship Exchange
- A one-year program in a track of your choosing: Leadership, Education (Academic or NPD), Inquiry (Research, QI, EBP), Clinical Practice (experienced, new, or novice), Student, or Presenter (leads you through abstract, presentation, or manuscript)
- One-on-one mentorship with their mentor match throughout the 12 months, with a minimum of a monthly check-in (virtually).
- Mentorship Exchange Guidebook, outlining program expectations, recommended meeting frequency with suggested topics, and additional information.
- Partner with an experienced Pediatric Nurse in your topic area and:
- Participate in the initial welcome and orientation
- Develop a goal and timeline for accomplishment
- Join in group discussions quarterly
How to Apply
Applicants must be:
- SPN Member in good standing
- Interested and invested in personal professional development in pediatrics.
- Committed to participating from February 2024 - February 2025
This program is a benefit of SPN membership therefore there is no cost to SPN members. This program is only open to SPN membership.
There are a limited number of available opportunities. Priority will be given to applicants in order of application submission. Submit your application by December 9.

SPN is looking for seasoned pediatric nurses to serve as mentors. You will be provided with foundational education and training as well as a clear guide that outlines program expectations, recommended meeting frequency with suggested topics, and additional information.
